Linkin In
Linkin In is a small person centred service for adults with learning disabilities. They are open Monday to friday and can be flexible with their hours.
They are a social enterprise which means we are a non profit making company.
They have a base in Kirkdale Community Centre (just past Bootle)

Volunteering into Work
This is an exciting project run from Godard Hall in Bootle to support voluntaries with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues into employment opportunities.
Disco
There is a weekely disco in a top club in Liverpool every week. It runs every Tuesday from 12 noon until 3pm. It gives people the chance to experience a top club environment with lasers smoke machines and a 6ft disco ball. It is in Lloyds Bar (The Lime Kiln) in concert square in Liverpool city centre. There is also bingo and a pub quiz. The disco is a not for profit and it pays for people who have a learning disabilities to work there.
The more people who come along and have a good time the better it will be for everyone. Drinks start at 30p and meals are available for £2.99. There is parking for people with blue badges on Fleet Street. If you want more information ring Stephen on 07904 403 338.
Work Ability
Work Ability is a new project run by Sefton CVS. It is a service that helps people with disabilities who find it difficult to get into work. Emma and Sam will provide advice, guideance and support for people. They will guide people through the maze of information and show you what support is there and help you to access it.

Coffee Mornings at Goddard Hall
Goddard Hall in Bootle has recently been revamped as a community centre. They are holding coffee mornings for people to come along and meet new friends. See the poster for details of when they are on and where it is.
Achieving People
Achieving People is a brand new service. It is helping people to get a job and help them whilst they are in a job, training or volunteering. If you would like to find out how to be supported whilst you work click here to see the leaflet.
Bowersdale Resource Centre Seaforth
There is a new community centre opening in Seaforth. It gives support to people with learning disabilities to be independent and access training, education and if wanted, support into employment.
There is a cost and you can buy just the things you would like to get involved with. They have activities to help with life skills, hobbies and interests or social activities.
Valuing People Now: New Plan
Valuing People Now is the Government's new strategy (big plan) for people with learning disabilities. It explains what the government thinks should happen to make things better for people with learning disabilities.
Valuing People Now explains what the Government will do, and what it expects different services to do.
TEAM
Together Everyone Aceives More - or TEAM are a group of people who love to put on a show! They are a drama group who are getting very successful and are even doing radio plays on BBC Radio Merseyside
But they are not all work, they play just as hard. They celebrate birthdays, go out for pub lunches, go to the theatre and support each other to have choice for their own lives.
