The Equality Act, making equality real.
The Single Equality Duty was made law in Spring 2010. Equality means everyone having the same chances to do what they can. Some people may need extra help to get the same chances.

Partnership Board - Treating all people equally
An Equalitiies Impact Assessment is a way of looking at how something works. It makes sure that all people are being treated the same. Lots of things can be looked at to check they are not treating any person or group of people unfairly. We looked at our partnership board to make sure that it treated all people equally.
We made a report looking at how we can make sure this is done.
