Why do we have a Partnership Board?
Why do we have a partnership board?
The Government told all areas in England that they needed to work together to improve the services for people with learning disabilitites.
In Sefton they set up the partnership board and also smaller groups or sub groups.
The partnership board is a group of people who work to make services for disabled people better.
The board has people:
· Whose job includes working with disabled people and the services they use. They might work for the council, the local NHS or for a community or voluntary group.
· Who are self advocates – people who have a disability.
· Who are parent or family carers – who have a family member with a disability.
· Providers of services that people pay for, for example care agencies to support people in their own tenancies.
